Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP)/Bagdogra Airport (IXB) to Gangtok

  • Arrive at Bagdogra Airport / NJP Railway Station

  • Hop on the cab and depart to Gangtok.

  • Gaze on the awe-inspiring landscapes of snow-laden mountains en-route.

  • Check in to the hotel.

  • Overnight stay at Gangtok.

Day 2: Gangtok Full Day Local Sightseeing

  • After a hearty breakfast at the hotel, get ready to begin your Gangtok sightseeing tour

  • Start off by visiting the Tashi Viewpointand admire the beauty of Kanchenjunga Ranges.

  • Adore the panaromic views of Gangtok as you embrace the spiritual side of Gangtok by visiting Ganesh Tokand Plant Conservatory

  • Visit the Cottage and Handloom Centerto know more about the production of local handicrafts.

  • Get a chance to understand the rich culture of Tibet as you visit the Institute of Tibetology

  • Listen to the peaceful chantings and prayers of the Buddhist Monks at Dro-Dul Chorten Monastery.

Day 3: Gangtok to Tsomgo Lake, Baba Mandir, Hangu Lake & Nathula Pass

  • Depart early in the morning to Tsomgo Lake

  • Catch a glimpse of the beauty of the snow-covered landscape surrounding the lake.

  • Try riding a Yak or play in the snow.

  • Visit and pay homage unique Baba Harbhajan Singh Mandir

  • Later, you can also visitNathula Pass(closed on Monday) which is one of the most crucial passes on the crossroads of the India-China border.

  • Visit Hangu Lake and experience boating.

  • Overnight stay at the hotel in Gangtok.

Day 4: Gangtok to Lachung, on the way Sightseeing

  • Enjoy a fulfilling breakfast, and then head to Lachung, a wonderful hamlet surrounded by snow-capped mountain peaks.

  • It is well known for its apple, peach and apricot orchids, cascading waterfalls and lovely streams.

  • The Lachung Chu river flows through the middle of the village dividing it into two.

  • On the way to Lachung, stop at the for arresting sights of mount Silnolchu. The Seven Sister Waterfall & Bhim Nala Waterfalls is also on the way.

  • Overnight stay at the hotel in Lachung.

Day 5: Lachung to Yumthang Valley & Singba Rhododendron Sanctuary & Zero Point

  • Start your journey early morning to capture the unparalleled beauty of the Yumthang Valley (11,800 ft) which is popularly known as the Valley of Flowers.

  • The greenery punctuated with a variety of colourful flowers and trees makes this valley a famous attraction of Sikkim.

  • The valley also boasts of a lovely river and grassy plains where you come across horses, yaks and goats grazing.

  • This is such a picture-perfect view.

  • Visit Zero Point also known as Yume Samdong, where road ends.

  • Get back to the hotel in Lachung and enjoy an overnight stay.

  • Sanglaphu Lake can be done on the same day at additional cost.

Day 6: Lachung to Lachung Monastery & back to Gangtok

  • After breakfast, pack your bags & head towards Lachung Monastery.

  • Explore the beautifal Lachung Monastery its art & designs & transfer to Gangtok.

  • Mt. Katao can be visited at additional cost on the same day.

  • Arrive Gangtok & check in the hotel.

Day 7: Gangtok to Pelling via Temi Tea Garden & Ravangla

  • After having a breakfast at hotel, head towards Pelling, West Sikkim.

  • The journey from Gangtok to Pelling is pleasing as you will drive past the gorgeous tea gardens, majestic mountains, and scenic landscape.

  • Enroute visit Temi Tea Garden & Buddha Park, Ravangla.

  • For Namchi Sightseeing one has to pay Extra.

  • Pelling is a lovely town located amidst the pine forest. It offers great views of snow-capped mountains and the mighty Kangchenjunga. It is also a home to age-old monasteries.

  • After a long drive of more than 5 hours you will be tired, so take rest and spend the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 8: Pelling Full Day Local Sightseeing

  • After breakfast, get ready to explore the local attractions of

  • Start with Rimbi Waterfalls, Kanchenjunga waterfalls which will surely rejuvenate you to the hilt with its gushing water and green surroundings.

  • Then head to the picturesque Sewaro rock garden full of greenery and beauty.

  • Next on the list is Darap Valley which is a scenic retreat.

  • Take a break for lunch and continue with the sightseeing visiting Pema Yangtse monastery, Rimbi waterfalls, Khecheopalri sacred Lake, Sidkeong Tulku Bird Park, Chenrezig Statue, Glass Skywalk and Rabdentse Ruins. Drive back to the hotel in evening and stay overnight.

Day 9: Pelling to Darjeeling

  • Start your day early in the morning with some light breakfast, post which you will check out from the hotel

  • Embark on a 4-hour drive that will lead you to the charismatic city of Darjeeling.

  • The captivating sight of mountains that you will cross by and the destination’s unadulterated atmosphere is sure to have you gripped.

  • Upon reaching Darjeeling, check in at the hotel and the rest of the day will be at leisure.

  • Have a lip-smacking meal and retire for the night in the embrace of the cosy hotel room.

Day 10: Darjeeling Full Day Local Sightseeing

  • Begin the journey early morning (around 4 am) and drive to the famous Tiger Hill (2590 m) to treat your senses with mind-blowing views of the sunrise over Kanchenjunga.

  • It is the highest point of this hill station.

  • While coming back from there visit Batasia Loop and Ghoom Monastery.

  • Enjoy a good breakfast and then visit Japanese Temple which reflects traditional Japanese architecture and is a well known Buddhist pilgrimage.

  • Other attractions which will be covered are Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park(closed on Thursday), Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Tenzing Rock, Peace Pagoda and Chitrey Tea Garden(outer view). In the evening take a stroll along the Mall Road.

Day 11: Darjeeling to New Jalpaiguri Railway Station/Bagdogra Airport

  • After a hearty breakfast, check out from the hotel and board your vehicle at NJP Station/ Bagdogra Airport

  • Your tour concludes once you are dropped off at the airport/ railway station for your onward journey

  • It’s time to head home with a bag full of good memories.
