Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: New Jalpaiguri Railway Station(NJP)/Bagdogra Airport (IXB) – Gangtok
Arrive at Bagdogra Airport / NJP Railway Station.
Hop on the cab and depart to Gangtok.
Gaze on the awe-inspiring landscapes of snow-laden mountains en-route.
Check in to the hotel.
Overnight stay at Gangtok.
Day 2: Gangtok to Tsomgo Lake, Baba Mandir, Hangu Lake & Nathula Pass
Depart early in the morning to Tsomgo Lake.
Catch a glimpse of the beauty of the snow-covered landscape surrounding the lake.
Try riding a Yak or play in the snow.
Visit and pay homage unique Baba Harbhajan Singh Mandir.
Later, you can also visit Nathula Pass(closed on Monday) which is one of the most crucial passes on the crossroads of the India-China border.
Visit Hangu Lake and experience boating.
Spend the evening at your leisure.
Overnight stay at Gangtok.
Day 3: Gangtok Half Day Sightseeing & Darjeeling Drop
After a hearty breakfast at the hotel, get ready to begin your Gangtok sightseeing tour.
Start off by visiting the Tashi Viewpointand admire the beauty of Kanchenjunga Ranges.
Adore the panaromic views of Gangtok as you embrace the spiritual side of Gangtok by visiting Ganesh Tokand Plant Conservatory.
Visit the Cottage and Handloom Centerto know more about the production of local handicrafts.
Listen to the peaceful chantings and prayers of the Buddhist Monks at Dro-Dul Chorten Monastery.
The drive may not be very smooth but on the journey, you will come across gorgeous green gardens, rivers, quaint villages and old bridges.
Reach the hotel in Darjeeling, check in and stay overnight.
Day 4: Darjeeling Full Day Local Sightseeing
Begin the journey early morning (around 4 am) and drive to the famous Tiger Hill (2590 m) to treat your senses with mind-blowing views of the sunrise over Kanchenjunga.
It is the highest point of this hill station.
While coming back from there visit Batasia Loop and Ghoom Monastery.
Enjoy a good breakfast and then visit Japanese Temple which reflects traditional Japanese architecture and is a well known Buddhist pilgrimage.
Other attractions which will be covered are Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park(closed on Thursday), Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Tenzing Rock, Peace Pagoda and Chitrey Tea Garden(outer view). In the evening take a stroll along the Mall Road.
Day 5: Darjeeling to New Jalpaiguri Railway Station/Bagdogra Airport
After a hearty breakfast, check out from the hotel and board your vehicle at NJP Station/ Bagdogra Airport
Your tour concludes once you are dropped off at the airport/ railway station for your onward journey
