Kala Patthar is one of the most scenic high-altitude viewpoints in North Sikkim. It offers dramatic panoramic views of snow-covered Himalayan ranges and is often covered in snow even when other areas are clear. It is less crowded compared to Gurudongmar Lake and provides a pure snow experience.

Tso Lhamo Lake is one of the highest lakes in the world, located at an altitude of about 5,330 meters (17,487 ft) in the remote Himalayan region of North Sikkim. The lake lies close to the Indo-China border and is surrounded by snow-covered mountains, vast alpine plains, and breathtaking Himalayan landscapes. The crystal-clear waters of Tso Lhamo Lake reflect the surrounding peaks, creating a spectacular natural view. The lake is also the source of the Teesta River, which flows through Sikkim and West Bengal. Due to its high altitude and extreme climate, the region remains covered in snow for most of the year, making it one of the most pristine and untouched natural destinations in the Himalayas. Located beyond Thangu Valley and near Gurudongmar Lake, Tso Lhamo Lake is accessible mainly to the Indian Army and special expedition tours, making it a rare and unique destination for travelers exploring the high Himalayas.
