Cancellation & Refunds
At Sikkim Diaries, we understand that sometimes plans change. We strive to be as flexible and fair as possible while also managing the commitments we make to our hotel partners, guides, and transport providers in advance. Please read our cancellation policy carefully before booking your tour.
1. General Cancellation Policy
All cancellation requests must be sent to us in writing via email at [insert your email, e.g., info@sikkimdiaries.com]. The cancellation will be effective from the date we receive the written request.
The cancellation charges will be calculated as a percentage of the total tour package cost, as per the following schedule:

| Between 24 to 10 days | 50% of total cost | 50% of total cost |
| Between 9 to 3 days | 75% of total cost | 25% of total cost |
| 2 days or less (including same day of tour) | 100% of total cost | No Refund |
2. Refund Process
- Any eligible refunds will be processed within 7-10 working days from the date of the cancellation request.
- The refund will be issued using the original method of payment. For example, if you paid by credit card, the amount will be credited back to the same card.
- Please note that bank transaction fees or payment gateway charges incurred during the refund process may be deducted from the refundable amount.
3. Special Cases
- Force Majeure Events: In the event of a cancellation due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, such as natural disasters, extreme weather conditions, political unrest, or government regulations that prevent the tour from operating, we will strive to offer a full credit for a future tour or a refund after deducting any non-recoverable costs from our suppliers. Each case will be handled individually and with empathy.
- Early Departure or Unused Services: No refund will be provided for any unused services (e.g., hotel nights, meals, sightseeing) due to a client's voluntary or involuntary early departure from the tour.
4. Tour Modifications & Date Change
We will make every effort to accommodate requests for date changes, subject to availability. Any such request must be made at least 15 days before the original tour start date. Date changes may attract additional costs based on revised pricing and availability.
